Pelvic Floor Programming
Overview
Pregnancy and postpartum are very special times, but can also be very confusing times! I realized this as I dug into types of exercise and what is best specifically for the female body. A lot of doctors will tell their pregnant population to “listen to your body” or “do what you’ve always done” or even worse, to stop squatting/lifting! Fast-forward to 6 weeks postpartum, and your doctor “releases” you. What does that even mean?! Your body feels weird and you’re still not used to not having a growing human inside of you, but you’re cleared for exercises?! None of that is very helpful! It’s stressful!
And that’s why I’m here. I saw this grey area, and I wanted to make a difference.
I want you to stay active during pregnancy, but also stay safe. I want you to strengthen your body for the long run, not just for right now. My programming focuses on you. It’s individualized to your current level of fitness, as well as what your body is currently tolerating (whether you are pregnant, postpartum, or struggling with your pelvic floor). I will educate you on: engaging your pelvic floor, breathing techniques to ease midline stress, and modifying movements based on how you are feeling. This can look like a 2 day per week program, or a 7 day per week program; virtual or in-person. Pricing is based on the number of days per week, as well as being virtual or in-person. With this program, you will receive a breakdown of what exactly macros are, how many servings of each macro you should be eating per meal (specific to your current body weight), and a guide to help you navigate this plan successfully through all of your holiday gatherings!
Discovery/Consultation Call
If you’re unsure about taking the plunge into hiring a 1-on-1 coach, I get it! It’s an investment and you need to be sure it’s something you really want. This is what the discovery call is for. It’s a chance for you to meet me and vice versa. You can ask me any questions you have about health coaching (what it looks like, how it works, what your responsibilities will be, etc.). This is a Zoom call (phone and other meetings can be arranged) that will last 30 minutes to an hour.
